Queen of Shadows was Literally Everything: Book Review

QOS.jpg

Queen of Shadows is the fourth book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Mass. It also  is one of the most epic books in existence. And this review contains spoilers.

The queen has returned.

Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she’s at last returned to the empire—for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past…

She has embraced her identity as Aelin Galathynius, Queen of Terrasen. But before she can reclaim her throne, she must fight.

She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die for her. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen’s triumphant return.

The fourth volume in the New York Times bestselling series continues Celaena’s epic journey and builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world.

First up: Celorian will happen. If Dorian and Manon get together I will be SO FRUSTRATED

.

They don’t work together! Manon is a bloodthirsty witch with a little bit of sympathy, and Dorian is the King of Adarlan. Meanwhile, Dorian said himself that if Aelin hadn’t gone missing/died, then they would have probably gotten married, soooooooo. Celorian was destined to happen.

(BTW do you guys watch booktube? Christine, Kat, Sasha, Jesse……?)

Anyway, I also MUST mention Rowan. I wish he hadn’t become part of the love triangle, which is actually more of a love square now. But let’s be honest. Chaol and Aelin is NOT HAPPENING. It’s over. Rowan’s a cool guy, but HE’S TRYING TO SINK MY #CELORIAN SHIP HOW DARE HE???????!!?!?!?!?!?! I mean, seriously not cool buddy.

It will happen. I was shocked when I found out that Erawan has inhabited Duke Perrington’s body! I mean, WHAT EVEN. He didn’t seem like he would be the actual main antagonist in these books. We ALL thought that it was the King of Adarlan. But noooooo, the king actually was only Erawan’s sidekick or something like that. Well, I guess we know what to look forward to in the next two books………………………………….. SURPRISE SHADOWHUNTER VISIT TO ERILEA TO SLAY SOME DEMONS WOOOHOOO!! Seriously, that needs to become reality.

Shocking revelation. Hahaha. Do you guys like Dorian, Chaol, or Rowan better? And do you guys watch BookTube? Thanks for reading my blog! Bye!!!!!!

  1. I love Chaol ❤ but I know my ship has sunk ;( so I don't really mind who Aelin ends up with – it's all too frustrating as I bet someone new will appear in the next book x

  2. This is half a book review and half a Celorian rant, in which I must put: I was totally Celorian until the end of Heir of Fire. Then I lost hope, and Chaol was already out, and I fell to Rowan, because he seemed like an awesome choice, and now Dorian is back in the game, but I still love Rowan. Also, yes, I do watch booktubes.

  3. I unfortunately was team Chaol, so my ship is currently at the bottom of the ocean. I like Manon a lot but agree that her and Dorian are a slightly strange couple. Have you read Empire of Storms??
